How do I test a workflow with a real contact, or demo it live to a prospect?

Use the agent's Test button and choose a workflow test instead of a voice test or chat test.

1. Open the agent and click Test.
2. Choose Workflow.
3. Search for and select the contact to run it on. To demo to a prospect, first add yourself or the prospect as a contact.
4. Click Start workflow.

The workflow runs with that contact's real data, so the variables fill in. Votel highlights what happens at each step as it runs, so you can watch it go through every step. In a live demo of a speed to lead workflow (for example a form trigger, then email, call, wait and text), the phone rings and the texts arrive in front of the prospect. You can also build the sequence together with the prospect and adjust steps live, such as how long to wait before the next call.

Testing a single node on its own with a contact is not available. The Send test email button only asks for an email address, so contact and form variables stay blank there. Run the whole workflow with the Workflow test to see the variables filled in.
